What is the difference between the 3 way head and the 4 way head?
The difference in the 3 way and 4 way are the number of ports on each unit. The 3 way has three ports and is
made for a three legged feeder. The 4 way has four ports and is made for a four legged feeder. This ensures
that a port will be centered between two of the feeder legs evenly, allowing plenty of room.
How are the protein heads moisture resistant?
The Custom Designed head features a 10 degree of angle, and a 1" overhang on the
4" feed ports. Each feed port has a drain hole to disperse any water that enters the tip of the feed port.
The round shape and Teflon like material composition make it the
most moisture proof design on the market.
My feed is draining to fast. Am I doing something wrong?
The protein heads can be adjusted. There is an inner sleeve located inside the head to adjust the feed
flow. If your feed is draining to fast, you will need to loosen the two bolts located on either
side of the head, push up on the bottom of the head (this will move that inner sleeve down), and tighten the two bolts.
How do the deer eat from the tubes?
The protein head is made with a 10 degree angle on it that automatically forces the deer to tilt their heads back to eat from the tube.
This keeps the deer antlers from hitting or rubbing on the feeder legs. The 4" openings are big enough for a deers muzzle to eat from.
